Spice Room

Reservations greater than 13 guests refer to Group Bookings.
Private functions for up to 40 people refer to Private Area.
All functions for up to 200 guests refer to The Malaya .
All functions for up to 300 guests refer to The Malaya and Spice Room.

Function Cost For up to 50 guests.

The interior dining space of Spice Room seats up to 50 diners and also has a lounge area perfect for drinks and canapes on arrival. To reserve exclusive use of this area we require for a minimum spend to be settled prior to the reservation date. The Minimum spend quoted below includes a $250 set up fee, a 10% service charge and food and beverage to the value. (All prices are inclusive of GST)

Lunch
Saturday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday - $5,200.00
Thursday or Friday - $6,575.00

Dinner
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - $5,200.00
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday - $6,575.00

The minimum fees quoted for exclusive use of the interior dinning space of Spice Room includes a $250.00 set up fee, a 10% service charge being $450.00 for off peak rate and $575.00 for peak rate, along with food and beverage to the value. Amount incurred above the minimum charge must be settled on the day.

Menu
Private functions are required to order a set menu. Groups are welcome to order one of our set menus or else may create their own, please call Samala or Tri at The Malaya at anytime on (02) 9279 1170 for details. If you or any member or your group have any food sensitivities or allergies please advise management prior to ordering.

Reservations
Reservations are required to be made over the phone, if you would like to make a reservation, or if you have any queries please dont hesitate to call Samala or Tri at The Malaya at anytime on (02) 9279 1170.

Deposit
All tentative bookings will be held for 7 days. All reservations must be confirmed in writing together with 50% of the minimum spend as a deposit. The balance to the minimum is to be settled together with menu and wine choices 14 days prior to the event. Payment can be made by cheque to The Malaya, cash or credit.

Function Cost For up to 100 guests.

Spice Room is a self contained restaurant with balcony and interior seated dining for up to 100 guests and also has a lounge area perfect for drinks and canapes on arrival. To reserve exclusive use of this area we require for a minimum spend to be settled prior to the reservation date. The Minimum spend quoted below includes a $500 set up fee, a 10% service charge and food and beverage to the value. (All prices are inclusive of GST)

Thursday or Friday - $13,150.00

Dinner

The minimum fees quoted for exclusive use of Spice Room includes a $500.00 set up fee, a 10% service charge being $850.00 for off peak rate and $1,150.00 for peak rate, along with food and beverage to the value. Amount incurred above the minimum charge must be settled on the day.

Cocktail Functions

Cocktail Functions (Standing finger food functions) are required to take exclusive use of Spice room or The Malaya restaurant.
All the same set up, minimum spend and deposit requirements apply to that of Spice Room or The Malaya .
